My Sunday mornings are usually spent snuggled up in multiple blankets, enjoying a hot cup of black coffee, and watching my favorite cooking shows on Food Network.  I’ll start my weekly grocery list during this time as well.  Since I completed my grocery shopping yesterday, I thought I’d try making a new list.  I ended up with my – favorite five: beauty items.

one: Drybar – Lemon Drop Daily Detangler Brush – $16

I seriously love this brush.  I have thrown out all other brushes, other than my round brush.  I use this as my everyday wet/dry brush.  It has been great at detangling my hair.  If you have fine hair like me – this seems to happen all throughout the day.  I recommend this a great investment for your hair’s daily routine.  It leaves your hair looking silky smooth.  Absolutely love!

two: Elizabeth Mott – Queen of the Fill Brow Gel – $20

I can’t rave enough about this product.  If you are like me, you don’t have hours to sit in front of the mirror perfecting your makeup on a daily basis.  I find this has been the easiest product I have used on my brows.  It fills in my brows (that let’s face it – get thinner over the years) without them looking over done.  The gel is quick drying and stays put all day.  During the work week my makeup routine is rather minimal, but this is one product that I apply everyday.  It comes in three colors – blonde, light medium, and medium dark.  I have tried both the blonde and dark medium (by my mistake!) but I will tell you both blended well with my natural brow coloring.  Definitely one to add to the makeup bag ladies!

three: Schwarzkopf – BC Color Freeze Silver Shampoo – $18

This is THE purple shampoo for all of you blonde bombshells out there!  I have used this product for years.  Blondes know how annoying it can be to have your carefully crafted (and expensive) blonde color turn brassy and yellow.  This shampoo is literally God’s gift to blondes.  I use this product about once a month to keep the brassiness  at bay.  It helps keep that salon blonde last longer between visits to your stylist.  My advice with this shampoo is to leave it on your hair for a few minutes while in the shower.  *Caution: If you are very light like myself, you will want to make sure you don’t leave it on too long.  I have had a day or two over the years where I’ve had a purple hue in my hair until my next wash.  I absolutely recommend this product as a must have to add to your hair care rituals.

{you can find this product at ULTA – when writing this blog they were not carrying it online.}

four: Chantecaille – Bio Lifting Neck Cream – $165

I hate to admit it, but I’m getting older and my skin just isn’t what it used to be.  Years of sun and horrible sunscreen practices has done its damage.  I have begun to dislike my skin on my neck and the fine lines that have started to appear.  I did my research and decided to try this product.  I have been using it for about three months and love the results.  To me my skin feels firmer and those fine lines are fading away.  This product is a splurge, but I have found a little goes a long way.  It is one that I plan on keeping in my skin care regimen.

five:  Blow Pro – Ready Set Blow – $21

I bought this on one of my many Ulta trips where I had no plan and ended up walking out $300 lighter.  I swear Ulta has the Target affect on you – go in for one thing and come out with 50!  Any who!  My hair is fine so I thought – okay it doesn’t take that long to blow dry may hair – this was surely a wast of money.  Not that case at all.  Sure it takes time off of my blow out, but it is also a great heat protector.  It has my hair feeling extra soft and helped reduce the dry feeling my hair can get.  I also like that my hair is smooth and frizzies are tamed with use.  It is a great addition to any hair routine.

So there are my favorite five.  If you have any questions about these products – please let me know.  I’d love to share any additional information with you that you need.

xoxo
