This morning I had to make a trip into the next town over to pick up a package at the post office. This happens all the time when I order things off etsy and don’t realize it’s from places like Bulgaria. Whoops! So, off I go to pick up this t-shirt I have to sign for. This was good for the boyfriend because he wants a sausage mcmuffin from McDonald’s, make that two, oh and a sprite!(eye roll 🙄) Bad for me because it’s Walleye Festival. Don’t even ask me about this weird concept of a festival that mixes fishing, garage sales, and beer tents. So strange.  Like, I’m serious, who thinks of this shit?  This is what happens when you move back to a small town!

On my drive I thought it would be a perfect day to do some writing. It’s been a little bit since I’ve written a post in this specific series. If you’re new to my blog or just need a refresher, the Hot List is where I talk about trends and pieces that I am loving and putting my favorites in one spot for you to shop and pull inspo from! Genius, I know. Thank me later 😉

So what is our next topic? Prints! Lately, there are three prints that I can’t get enough of. This is rather strange for me and a step outside of the box. You see, I typically love my color palette of black, grey, and pink with no prints. Just solids. Over the past month though I’ve been in love with: leopard, floral, and palm prints. I seriously can’t stop looking for these online or in stores. It’s like a force field that pulls my body towards this trio and I can’t avoid it!!!

If you’re afraid of prints – it’ll be okay, trust me. A great idea is to try accessories to add the print your wardrobe and see how you like it. A great scarf, a fun bag, or maybe a pair shoes. So, shall we get started with my picks? Okay! Let’s go!!!

I’ll cut to the chase, leopard print can be scary. There are pieces that can look cheap and I never want you to end up looking like a street walker. Well, at least not today.  Sometimes too much of a good thing can be just that, too much.  So I don’t advise you to go head-to-toe leopard print everything.  Just don’t do it.  Thank you. In my opinion, there are two design houses that get leopard print right – every time: Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli.  Every. Damn. Time.  I am absolutely in love with these two tops that I found from each.

Left: Dolce & Gabbana –  Tie-Neck Blouse ($995) Right: Roberto Cavalli – T-Shirt ($590)

Here are some other leopard print items that are making me swoon:

Top Left: Pam & Gela Sweatshirt ($175)  Top Right: Gianvito Rossi Pumps ($965)

Bottom Left: August Hat Baseball Cap ($28) Bottom Right: RED Valentino Dress ($750),

Floral is the next print that I am in love with right now.  I’m not talking Little House on the Prairie, grandma’s bedspread florals.  I am talking about eye catching prints with bold colors on pieces that are edgy and chic. Those florals.

Counter Clockwise from top:

Zara – Floral Print Shirt ($70), re:named – Floral Neck Tie Blouse ($54), Tobi – Gothic Floral Edwardian Top ($495)

Left: Karina Grimaldi-Aculina Print ($305) Right: Parker-Luella Floral ($388)

The final print that I am finding myself gravitating towards lately is palm print.  Maybe because it reminds of being on a tropical vacation or maybe because it is playful and fun. Either way it has caught my eye and I can’t stop the addiction.  Check out some of these great options!

Left: Every Cloud($119) Middle: Party Skirts($225) Right: Show Me Your Mumu($136)

Left: J. Crew ($125) This suit makes me want to be a surfer! OMG! Right: Mikoh ($220)

I hope you found something you like, or at least have gotten excited to try something new in your wardrobe.  Until next time Bombshells,
